Why Should You Get Married In Las Vegas?
Las Vegas is by far the most popular wedding destination in the United States. Over 120,000 weddings are held in Las Vegas every year, and it’s a perfect place for couples who want to get married quickly, or, perhaps, want a ceremony that’s “out of the norm”.
Las Vegas weddings can be held on very short notice. Most chapels in Las Vegas allow couples to book their wedding right away. Others accommodate walk-ins. But make sure you have a marriage license first, available from the Marriage Bureau, Las Vegas, Nevada which is located at 200 S. 3rd Street, 1st floor Las Vegas, NV 89155-1603. The current license fee is $55.00(US), and must be paid in cash.
Las Vegas weddings are convenient. Las Vegas hotels usually have their own wedding chapels with a wedding coordinator who takes charge of all the preparations, including the flowers, the music, and arrange a Nevada licensed minister or civil marriage official.
Deciding on your Las Vegas wedding chapel is also very easy. A simple Google search will find all of the main chapels in the city, and all have very comprehensive websites. Once you narrow your choices to the 3 or 4 top chapels, then call the wedding coordinators and discuss options and prices before making your final decision.
Las Vegas weddings also allow couples to start their honeymoon early. There’s no need for couples to board a plane and head out of town after the wedding. Las Vegas is a great honeymoon destination!
There are also things to avoid when planning your wedding. Remember that Las Vegas is the number 1 destination in the US, so shy away from dates that are around holidays (especially Monday holidays!). Las Vegas is also the number 1 convention destination, so be sure that your wedding date doesn’t fall during one of the major shows.
And, remember…summers in the desert are very hot, and play havoc with hair, make-up, and cake frosting. If you’re planning a summer wedding, plan most of the activities indoors.
